In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center, add the lukewarm water, and mix with a fork until combined.
Transfer the mixture to a flat surface and knead gently for 3-5 minutes to form a compact dough ball. If the dough is too dry, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until it comes together.
Cover the dough with a tea towel or plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
Shape the Pasta:
Knead the dough a couple of times, then roll it out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness.
Roll the dough into a log and slice it to your desired thickness for noodles or cut into squares for soup.
Cook the Pasta:
Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta for 6-7 minutes until tender. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce or in soup.
