Ingredients

  • ¾ cup cane sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (see notes for substitution)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate chunks)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat cane sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until creamy and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Add vanilla and Greek yogurt, and beat for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
  • Serve warm or let cool completely before storing.
